Dear Artists,

For over 4 years, MACAA has continued to offer and maintain CARD, (Creative Artist Resource Directory), a comprehensive listing of Missouri artists in all fields: visual, performing, literary and technical. This listing has been free to the artist and includes a brief description and direct link to their email and website. The artist directory is online at www.macaa.net and receives over 30,000 hits per month.

Last year we sent out a short survey to all of the artists listed. This survey revealed that artists would prefer to have the directory continue to be at no charge, but would like MACAA to offer an artist level membership for a small fee. This fee in turn would help fund the benefits MACAA offers to artists, including CARD and the artists opportunities pages, in addition to periodic emails updating artists on workshops, calls for artists and funding opportunities throughout the state.

You are receiving this email because you are listed in the Artist Directory. We appreciate you listing yourself in the artist directory at www.macaa.net, and also appreciate the opportunity to get more exposure for artists in Missouri. We believe that being able to provide this the artist directory to artists and to the public at no charge is a benefit. In order to offset the costs associated with maintenance and upgrades, we now offer an individual or artist membership at the low cost of $15 per year. Although at this time artists are not required to be a member to have a listing at www.macaa.net, we offer this artist level membership as your way of supporting what we do and enable our ability to continue this benefit to artists.
