~ VAA has been asked to present a PRICING workshop for artists as part of the professional development program at SPIVA CENTER FOR THE ARTS in Joplin, September 24th, 2006, 2-4PM... 222 W. 3rd St. (a block from the Public Library). This is not a lecture, it is a workshop. Any artist can bring ALL questions related to pricing their art or craft, of any kind... and come away with a practical, effective, legitimate, realistic solution for the problem. This workshop is one of several of its kind that has been taught throughout America by VAA since 1987.

~ "A Love Affair with Wood", retrospective for the sculptor LARRY OLIVER will open Thursday, August 25th, 6PM at ARTCENTRAL, 1110 E. 13th St., Carthage. The show will be up through September 23rd. The paintings of MIKE SHELTON will also be on view in the Members Gallery.
